  We stayed at the Anelia Resort for 2 weeks in May on all inclusive. We were greeted at check in with a refreshing flannel and cold drink. Unfortunately there was... read more a problem with our room but we were given beach towels and relaxed on the sun beds on the beach in front of the hotel while we waited. It turned out that there was a problem with a water leak in the room we’d been allocated so Abhijeet sorted us with a different room. He did his best to help us and even sent us a drink and some snacks once we’d settled in. We had a fabulous room on the second floor overlooking the sea. We enjoyed watching the sun go down from our balcony. The gardens are well kept and everywhere looks clean and tidy. Rooms: Plenty of wardrobe and cupboard space. There are uk 3 pin electric sockets and also round 2 pin eu sockets. Beds are comfortable and so were the pillows. The shower room has a good hairdryer and shower gel, shampoo, body lotion and soap is supplied and replenished regularly. There is a fridge which is topped up with fresh bottled water every day. The rooms were cleaned and towels were changed every day. We found all the staff helpful and always greeted us with a friendly smile. Food: All meals were buffet style so you could help yourself. Food: All meals were buffet style so you could help yourself. We found there was plenty of choice for everyone and it was delicious. At lunch time you could eat at the burger bar which we did a few times. Here you order from a menu and the food is brought to your table. Gilbert in the main restaurant was especially helpful - my husband likes cold milk in his tea and he kindly gave him some.

Amenities etc: There was a good size swimming pool and also a rock pool with a swimming pool type ladder. As others have said you do need swim shoes for this, take a mask and snorkel - the fish and coral are amazing.
We used the gym twice, it wasn’t too bad for a hotel gym although a few of the machines were broken .
If you like to read, there is a bookcase in the room next to reception where you can swap books.
A highlight of our trip was going on the boat with Jeremy (from the boathouse next to the hotel) to see the Dolphins in their natural habitat. We were able to snorkel from the boat and see them swimming past.
Most evenings there was music and a few nights there was a Sega dance show.

Anelia Resort is at the end of Flic en Flac beach - it’s a lovely walk along the beach and you can also walk via the road where there are a few shops. If you like shopping you can catch the bus to Cascavalle shopping centre which isn’t far and only costs about 30rs each way.

We hired a car for a few days so that we could explore other parts of the island. If you are visiting from UK it’s the same as driving at home as they drive on the left.

On the day of our departure we had to check out by 11am but were not being picked up until 6pm. We were able to use the hotel’s facilities until we left and a room was provided about an hour before we were picked up so that we could have a shower before leaving. Abhijeet came to say goodbye and wished us a safe journey home. We very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel. More

Rooms are specious, they include a safe, hairdryer and a replenished mini bar for all inclusive. Our... read more room was on the 1st floor of the new buildings. We had a partial view of the ocean, but we did not spend much time in the room.

The hotel itself is a bit outdated, but more than comfortable for us. It has 2 pools, a bar and a beach bar.

The beach is mainly rocky but there is a sandy bit. There is loads of sun loungers and umbrellas by the water and the pools.

Wi-Fi is fast in the rooms and the bar, but less so on the beach.

We used the spa, which is reasonably priced and the massage very relaxing.

All inclusive is not ALL inclusive but there is a decent list of available drinks.

Food is absolutely delicious. It is mainly curry, but not all, and the variety changes every day. Every day was a feast. We also enjoyed one dinner on the beach.

Staff - I have never met such smiley, polite, humble and helpful members of staff. They are genuinely there to help you and make your stay enjoyable and comfortable.

Right by, there is the longest beach on the island, 8km of sand. There is also sightseeing to do - a safari, the largest waterfall in Mauritius and colourful sand to name a few.

We highly recommend this hotel!

Insects - big issues with insects, and birds in restaurant, and stray cats riddled in fleas.
Evening entertainment not really maybe a bit of dancing but mainly just a DJ, entertainment team appearance to just be walking around all day.

Suggested us to roam around for a while till the earlier guests check out. While this was getting delayed, she arranged a complimentary lunch too. During the lunch, we got introduced to Mr Ajith who comforted us. Something we noticed about Ajith – He was always concerned about customers. He will always have a word with them. Even in hurry- he will suggest them to try some food item. In case of urgency, he will carry and help FnB people arrange the table by himself. He was hands-on man.
We were directed to room 145 as soon as we finished our lunch. Room was neat-clean. Something unusual we noticed. The toiletries were arranged in an artistic manner, placed them to create some design. This was done regularly. Even tea/coffee tray was arranged in perfect manner. We could meet room service people only once, they were courteous, smiling, quick and artistic. Thank you team
We are staying here till 22nd – almost 6 nights and seven days. Normally the menu keeps repeating after a certain number of days. This did not happen, at least till our check out. The menu was planned such way that every community be it Indian, African, European or anyone, they have some dish for them. For veg. They had an equally great menu. Sweet dishes never repeated except fruit salad. Non-veg was prepared in various ways – barbeque, grilled, curry, sauntered, shallow fry . Thanks to menu planner or chef - A very wide choice we had. The people will personally remember our choice, omlette specifications were never repeated after first order. She will remember and prepare without specific order. We preferred Indian Masala tea and very hot (Not warm) This was remembered and tea was always served hot. Thanks Menu planner and chef team.
Last and not the least, Senior members kept visiting and chatting with the customers during night too to get hands-on feedback. This was unbelievable, it showed management commitment to customers
These all-small experiences made our tour wonderful. We want to thank the team, their trainer and senior staff for the same.We wish all the team and management all the best for future.

The staff bent over backwards to help. There was a small issue but the bar manager immediately rectified this.

The room opened directly onto the infinity pool and had the beach just in front of it. The food was buffet system but was good still has space for improvement in terms of quality. It had all varieties of cuisines from French to Indian with an English breakfast for the morning.
