  Anelia Resort & Spa location is perfect for to travel Port Louis by bus 123. Cost 44 Mauritius rupees (equal to 80 pence). Also, another bus connects to Quatre Bornes... read more metro station. In all two buses from outside Anelia Resort. Bus stop 5 minutes walk. The bus runs every 15 minutes.

The food is very good and has lots of variety, especially for Indian vegetarians. Beer-Phoenix.

3 outdoor swimming pools. The room is very spacious. Our one is Oceanview.

The resort is on the west side of Mauritius. Not windy but comfortable.

Flic en Flac beach walking distance, but Sundays get very crowdy. Lots of Sun Lounge. No shortage.

Reception is the most unorganised for any hotel we have ever stayed at. Had to ask for clean sheets not once but twice as they hadn’t been changed for a week, was told they’d sort it but they still hadn’t been changed the next day. Rang to ask us to come to reception to get our departure collection info, when we got down the guy on reception said no you must come on the morning of your departure. Christmas Eve was so disorganised, we weren’t told dinner was being served on the beach and that the time had been altered too. The staff were handing canopies out but with no plan as in the table at the side of us received dine but we didn’t. When I complained they took my room number and said they would speak to the manager but I never heard a thing. Food never catered for the Europeans and I know it’s good to try different cultures but the same things every night? Totally misuse of ‘“All inclusive” only a few cocktails on the menu with beer and soft drinks, no milkshakes allowed or other drinks all had to be paid... Long review alert:

Totally misuse of ‘“All inclusive” only a few cocktails on the menu with beer and soft drinks, no milkshakes allowed or other drinks all had to be paid for no ice cream allowed apart from between 12 and 3 at the burger bar, the service at the burger bar was so slow.
I can’t believe how many staff didn’t speak any English at all.
Many of the staff looked like they didn’t want to be there.
One positive for the hotel was very chilled around the pool, always sun-beds available
