Guest services(front desk at reception) - not a very warm welcome by one of their staff members (don’t want to name in interest of her job security) - quite arrogant attitude, non-helping vibes added to her impolite behaviour. On the other hand, Talah did a good job in helping us with required information and guidance.
But you won’t be interacting with them much, so don’t worry! More

We had a Superior Ocean View room which was lovely and large. Lots of closet space, big bathroom and a nice, big balcony. There was also a small fridge. Really nothing to complain about when it comes to the room. Also the cleaning staff were professional and very kind. However, the restaurant and especially the breakfast and dinner were awful. The biggest issue was with the staff who were very slow and unprofessional. I don't even mind that they were slow but cleanliness was a huge issue. The tables had dirty table cloths, plates and cutlery. We either had to ask someone to replace them or did it ourselves. You had to ask for drinks to be delivered several times before actually getting them. Biggest issue was at breakfast when tables were not cleaned or if they were it happened extremely slowly. One day they ran out of coffee cups at breakfast and I was twice offered a dirty cup (that had been used by someone else) that the employee wiped with a cloth right there in front of me. When I asked for a washed cup, she did it again. I then asked if I can have a cup that someone didn't just drink from, at which point the... Unfortunately, we can't recommend this hotel.

The bar staff had zero training whatsoever. They didn't know how to make most of the cocktails so they googled them there and then or improvised. None of them were even close to what they're supposed to be. Also, when asking for dry wine, the bartender kept giving me very sweet ones. They had no idea what they were serving.

So while the room, the view and the pool were nice, I really cannot recommend the hotel. The staff are not professionally trained at all. More

  We were so looking forward to our stay at the Anelia Hotel having read rave reiews. The staff are lovely and really helpful and the rooms are relatively new and... read more modern. However, the entrance/reception area is so out of date as is the dining area (very 70's and in need of a refurbishment). The pool area is very nice, clean and the view is amazing but there is NO atmosphere round the pool area so we went to the beach each day instead. The food is definitely more for those enjoying curries (I don't unfortunately) and on one or two occasions, there were very few alternative dishes to choose from. The lack of entertainment was such a disappointment. There is a lovely man who is trying to reintroduce evening entertainment - the 2 evenings where dinner was on the beach was good and we all got up and danced with the dancers on stage but the other evenings were woefully dull - luckily we made friends with another 2 couples and on karaoke night we entertained all the other guests. There really should have been someone from the hotel to encourage others to join in but there wasn't so when we had had enough, it just fizzled out! I would say this is a 3 star hotel at best but could be so much more if they make the entrance/reception area brighter/more inviting and completely refurbish the dining area which... The room opened directly onto the infinity pool and had the beach just in front of it. The food was buffet system but was good still has space for improvement in terms of quality. It had all varieties of cuisines from French to Indian with an English breakfast for the morning.

Once again, A big thanks for Mr. Ackson and Mr. Ruben you guys made our stay special.
