The room was large and plenty of tea and coffee in the room. The shower did leak out into the bedroom but no biggy as our cleaner gave us another towel to put across the door. We stayed in a premium room looking out to sea, beautiful view. The tiles on our patio area had several cracked tiles. The food was only hot if you got it from the griddle or cooked noodles, there was a great choice of different cuisines but would have been so much nicer if it was hot. A fabulous gala meal on Christmas Eve on the beach had a lot of effort put into it. Still only tepid food though. The pool by the dining area was very dirty ( not the water) The whole place needs refurbishing and bring it up to standard of a 4* which it is rated at. I would say more 2/3* at the moment. The first night we went to eat ( family of 4) we could not find a table to accommodate 4 people, lots of tables for 2 were vacant. We were told we couldn’t put 2 tables together and we should go earlier, not the solution we would expect, after speaking to the dining manager we got tables put together. Next day we spoke with the general manager and asked why it was a problem to put tables together, he said there shouldn’t be a problem. We had evening entertainment which was loud but to make it much worse they had private functions on the beach with extremely loud music competing with the hotel entertainment. This going on while trying to have an evening meal. We did complain that it was far to loud, it actually reverberated on the patio to our rooms. Nothing was ever done about the volume, even though we complained to the general manager, the only positive was it stopped at 11 pm. I will say the staff in general were lovely. 😊 I could write lots more but I feel this is enough to be going on with.

The hotel itself is a bit outdated, but more than comfortable for us. It has 2 pools, a bar and a beach bar.

The beach is mainly rocky but there is a sandy bit. There is loads of sun loungers and umbrellas by the water and the pools.

Wi-Fi is fast in the rooms and the bar, but less so on the beach.

We used the spa, which is reasonably priced and the massage very relaxing.

All inclusive is not ALL inclusive but there is a decent list of available drinks.

Food is absolutely delicious. It is mainly curry, but not all, and the variety changes every day. Every day was a feast. We also enjoyed one dinner on the beach.

Staff - I have never met such smiley, polite, humble and helpful members of staff. They are genuinely there to help you and make your stay enjoyable and comfortable.

Right by, there is the longest beach on the island, 8km of sand. There is also sightseeing to do - a safari, the largest waterfall in Mauritius and colourful sand to name a few.

Maid service everyday with towel and linen change. A/C very quiet and efficient. Pool area and gardens were fabulous. Staff very friendly and accommodate all your wishes. We found the food excellent. It is very authentic Mauritian / Indian so may not be to everybody’s taste although there was always pasta and pizza and on some nights Chinese food. Breakfast was excellent and we ate lunch at the Burger bar on three occasions and had good food and excellent service. Flies are abundant during the day and are a bit of a nuisance but the hotel does everything possible to keep food covered. Interestingly the flies disappear in the evening so dinner is not a problem. Spa was excellent for a massage. We had a fabulous holiday at the Anelia
