  We had the worst day ever!! We had to wait like an hour to get the room. Once we enterred the room, the floor was so wet. Some of the staffs are very friendly but some staffs are so terrible! Like we went to the spa, they laugh on your face! The food is always cold and the service is a complete disaster! With choice of 2 swimming pools, gymnasium, Spa, water sports, a miniature reading library, the small beach with the rocky patch, there is so much to do for everyone including fishing. An impressive spread of Indian Vegetarian food is available for Dinner apart from the usual spread of continental, french & seafood. Special thanks to Lucy - our Pizza lady for baking such delicious pizzas every night for us & Purnima from the Reception - for being so helpful right from our checkin till checkout. The entire staff was so wonderful- warm, friendly, helpful & smiling, the rooms were very clean & spacious with fantastic views, the weather was pleasant & lovely being winters with occassional rains, the food was delicious with lip-smacking cuisines, the in-house activities and daily evening entertaintment sessions were vibrant with playful music, and of course the best part being the outrageously stunning views everday especially during sunsets - simply magical ! The little town of Flic Flac is hardly a 10 minute walk away and everything is available out there - the local people being very friendly.
This was one memorable week of sheer pure relaxation, luxury & rejuvenation in paradise for us mother-daughter duo.

It was pretty windy while we were there and the parasols were steady as a rock. The food was amazing, lots of choices, very flavoursome curries, excellent range of salads, plus meat and fish on the grill. My favourite was the pancakes with chocolate sauce, available every morning and afternoon. The lamb burgers in the burger bar were another favourite, and my partner loved the fish curries. This is the first time we have been all inclusive and we were very happy. I like a lot of soft drinks during the day and there was plenty of juice and water available, plus a few cans in the mini bar. We also indulged in the cocktails, and the local wine was excellent. We had a lovely candlelit meal for two on the beach, well not quite candlelit because there was a breeze and the candle didn’t stand a chance, but a lovely salad, seafood platter and a heart shaped cake in a beautiful romantic setting. It’s only a half hour trip, which really suits me because I get seasick easily, so we were out and back before I started to feel queasy and we saw some beautiful fish plus some rays, starfish and coral. Due to the wind we were unable to go out on the snorkelling boat trip, and they wouldn’t let us borrow masks to just go out in the bay so it’s worth taking gear with you or buying some in the town.

Flic-en-Flac beach is very appealing. It has swimming areas marked out with buoys, but there is broken coral everywhere so you need water shoes for swimming and walking on the beach.

I thoroughly enjoyed yoga on the beach. I’ve often done Pilates with some kind of soothing music in the background, but you can’t beat a session to the sound of the actual ocean. More

Don’t come here if you want... read more wall to wall entertainment but do come if you want to relax in excellent surroundings. Good points - Immaculately clean everywhere. Friendly staff. Beautiful swimming pool. Good breakfasts. Lovely grounds that were well maintained. Large rooms with large comfortable beds. Food was excellent and never got bored over two weeks. No tummy bugs either. Flic en flac beach - you can walk for miles. Drinks - mostly good although Pina Colada was pre made. White wine and beer very drinkable. Beautiful sunsets. Area felt very safe. Bad points- Arrival. Looked after well with drink and towel but left for 30 minutes then told room wasn’t ready and wouldn’t be for another 4 hours. Allowed to have a shower but after travelling for 24 hours, all you want is a change of clothes and dive into the pool. They were even a little hesitant on us getting lunch or a drink as the all inclusive didn’t start until we got our key. Shame holiday started like this as had no other real issues. Tea and coffee - only available from main restaurant. Even at breakfast it was pre made in insulated jugs. Each bar had a coffee machine but was not in use. No cold milk. Local area - some restaurants but no local shops apart from two and they closed very early.
Prices - very expensive for everything outside the hotel.
Beach wasn’t bad just disappointing. Very small and rest of frontage is black boulders used as sea defences. There’s steps leading to a sea swimming area but they are broken but still can be used with care. Take own snorkel and reef shoes. Please get those steps fixed.

We did two trips. Both were excellent and booked through Facebook from recommendations on the Love Mauritius page. Took boat trip which was fantastic. South Island trip brilliant too.

Weather in mid May was very good. Occasionally depending on wind direction there could be some cloud cover and short, sharp showers but majority of time was perfect. Very warm but not too uncomfortable.

So please fix steps to sea, get coffee machines working. Sort out check in. Otherwise fantastic hotel - keep up the good work. More
