  I'm happy to have picked Anelia Resorts for our accommodation during my honeymoon trip to Mauritius last month. The hotel staff was very kind, prompt, warm and welcoming towards us... read more and we felt at ease around the place.

There were one or two occasions where we had some complaints around the service but those were acted on promptly and proactively addressed by the hotel staff. Huge shout out to Loshny who helped coordinate and upgrade our booking to a honeymoon booking, as we had been incorrectly booked for regular vacation package by our travel agent.

The resort offers complimentary and paid water activities and also helps with any logistical requests you may have (cab, two wheeler rentals, currency exchange etc). The wifi is connectivity is strong throughout the resort and was sufficient to carry out any work related tasks if necessary.

The candle light dinner by the beach side along with live performance was certainly stand out experience of our stay and for that I once again extend my sincere thanks to Loshny and her team.

I lost 8kg in one week.
Mainly from the fruit based mocktails and awful food.
The sports equipment which you had to sign for was snooker cues without tips and broken table tennis balls so when you walk round the corner it’s no surprise to find the tables broken as well.
Entertainment is non existent unless you class the overweight staff jingling and pretending to belly dance. Worst I’ve ever witnessed. Nothing to do after pleasant beach sunset walk as the tv in rooms have one English Channel a the beds are rock hard.
You can also hear everything from next door due to the shared door.
Spa isn’t a Spa, jacuzzi not heated and loads of broken tiles which also fills with rain water.
Staff are pleasant but low intelligence.
Unfortunately the transport driver stole our mobile phone so not the best first few days as had to track it and go and collect it myself. Not hotels fault but the travel company who provided the transport.
Stunning sunsets and man made scenery though.
Gardens are very well kept.
Maintenance not kept up as loungers green and pool furniture never been cleaned. Now seeing as you have a member of staff sat guarding the rags of towel surely that member of staff would be better put to use and pool drinks service didn’t exist most days.
Expected paradise like the zilwa attitude we previously stayed at. Instead this was awful food very limited and desperation to get home.

  We stayed at the Anelia Resort for 2 weeks in May on all inclusive. We were greeted at check in with a refreshing flannel and cold drink. Unfortunately there was... read more a problem with our room but we were given beach towels and relaxed on the sun beds on the beach in front of the hotel while we waited. It turned out that there was a problem with a water leak in the room we’d been allocated so Abhijeet sorted us with a different room. He did his best to help us and even sent us a drink and some snacks once we’d settled in. We had a fabulous room on the second floor overlooking the sea. We enjoyed watching the sun go down from our balcony. The gardens are well kept and everywhere looks clean and tidy. Rooms: Plenty of wardrobe and cupboard space. There are uk 3 pin electric sockets and also round 2 pin eu sockets. Beds are comfortable and so were the pillows. The shower room has a good hairdryer and shower gel, shampoo, body lotion and soap is supplied and replenished regularly. There is a fridge which is topped up with fresh bottled water every day. The rooms were cleaned and towels were changed every day. We found all the staff helpful and always greeted us with a friendly smile. Food: All meals were buffet style so you could help yourself. Gilbert in the main restaurant was especially helpful - my husband likes cold milk in his tea and he kindly gave him some.

Amenities etc: There was a good size swimming pool and also a rock pool with a swimming pool type ladder. As others have said you do need swim shoes for this, take a mask and snorkel - the fish and coral are amazing.
We used the gym twice, it wasn’t too bad for a hotel gym although a few of the machines were broken .
If you like to read, there is a bookcase in the room next to reception where you can swap books.
A highlight of our trip was going on the boat with Jeremy (from the boathouse next to the hotel) to see the Dolphins in their natural habitat. We were able to snorkel from the boat and see them swimming past.
Most evenings there was music and a few nights there was a Sega dance show.

Anelia Resort is at the end of Flic en Flac beach - it’s a lovely walk along the beach and you can also walk via the road where there are a few shops. If you like shopping you can catch the bus to Cascavalle shopping centre which isn’t far and only costs about 30rs each way.

We hired a car for a few days so that we could explore other parts of the island. If you are visiting from UK it’s the same as driving at home as they drive on the left.

On the day of our departure we had to check out by 11am but were not being picked up until 6pm. We were able to use the hotel’s facilities until we left and a room was provided about an hour before we were picked up so that we could have a shower before leaving. Abhijeet came to say goodbye and wished us a safe journey home. We very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel. More

The room opened directly onto the infinity pool and had the beach just in front of it. The food was buffet system but was good still has space for improvement in terms of quality. It had all varieties of cuisines from French to Indian with an English breakfast for the morning.
