However, the entrance/reception area is so out of date as is the dining area (very 70's and in need of a refurbishment). The pool area is very nice, clean and the view is amazing but there is NO atmosphere round the pool area so we went to the beach each day instead. The food is definitely more for those enjoying curries (I don't unfortunately) and on one or two occasions, there were very few alternative dishes to choose from. The lack of entertainment was such a disappointment. There is a lovely man who is trying to reintroduce evening entertainment - the 2 evenings where dinner was on the beach was good and we all got up and danced with the dancers on stage but the other evenings were woefully dull - luckily we made friends with another 2 couples and on karaoke night we entertained all the other guests. There really should have been someone from the hotel to encourage others to join in but there wasn't so when we had had enough, it just fizzled out! I would say this is a 3 star hotel at best but could be so much more if they make the entrance/reception area brighter/more inviting and completely refurbish the dining area which... Good points -
Immaculately clean everywhere.
Friendly staff.
Beautiful swimming pool.
Good breakfasts.
Lovely grounds that were well maintained.
Large rooms with large comfortable beds.
Food was excellent and never got bored over two weeks. No tummy bugs either.
Flic en flac beach - you can walk for miles.
Drinks - mostly good although Pina Colada was pre made. White wine and beer very drinkable.
Beautiful sunsets.
Area felt very safe.

Bad points-
Arrival. Looked after well with drink and towel but left for 30 minutes then told room wasn’t ready and wouldn’t be for another 4 hours. Allowed to have a shower but after travelling for 24 hours, all you want is a change of clothes and dive into the pool. They were even a little hesitant on us getting lunch or a drink as the all inclusive didn’t start until we got our key. Shame holiday started like this as had no other real issues.
Tea and coffee - only available from main restaurant. Even at breakfast it was pre made in insulated jugs. Each bar had a coffee machine but was not in use. No cold milk.
Local area - some restaurants but no local shops apart from two and they closed very early.
Prices - very expensive for everything outside the hotel.
Beach wasn’t bad just disappointing. Very small and rest of frontage is black boulders used as sea defences. There’s steps leading to a sea swimming area but they are broken but still can be used with care. Take own snorkel and reef shoes. Please get those steps fixed.

We did two trips. Both were excellent and booked through Facebook from recommendations on the Love Mauritius page. Took boat trip which was fantastic. South Island trip brilliant too.

Weather in mid May was very good. Occasionally depending on wind direction there could be some cloud cover and short, sharp showers but majority of time was perfect. Very warm but not too uncomfortable.

So please fix steps to sea, get coffee machines working. Sort out check in. Otherwise fantastic hotel - keep up the good work.

  I liked a hotel, but few thinks was really not ok and I hope the hotel will do something to change things. The waiters was ok with the clients, but... read more few of them bullying the others waiters very very badly! It was not nice to see and sometimes I just wanted to say them to stop. Also two times was no glass in the table so I ask. The waiters went to the table were where the used glasses/plates and just pick for me a glass from there It was lipstick on the glass. Also sometimes we got used napkins and how knows what else. The other problem is the boathous. We stayed 14 day but not even once we was able the use the kajak or a pedal boat. The boats were in the beach, but they always gave us some stupid reason why we can use it. Once we went morning, they told us come back afternoon about 4 PM now it’s low tide. We went back, the some person just told us, sorry we close at 4 PM.. Also one day the cleaning staff left our door open, so when we come back we almost got a heart attack. Luckely nothing was stolen and I’m sure it was not a general problem, happened only once.
