I lost 8kg in one week.
Mainly from the fruit based mocktails and awful food.
The sports equipment which you had to sign for was snooker cues without tips and broken table tennis balls so when you walk round the corner it’s no surprise to find the tables broken as well.
Entertainment is non existent unless you class the overweight staff jingling and pretending to belly dance. Worst I’ve ever witnessed. Nothing to do after pleasant beach sunset walk as the tv in rooms have one English Channel a the beds are rock hard.
You can also hear everything from next door due to the shared door.
Spa isn’t a Spa, jacuzzi not heated and loads of broken tiles which also fills with rain water.
Staff are pleasant but low intelligence.
Unfortunately the transport driver stole our mobile phone so not the best first few days as had to track it and go and collect it myself. Not hotels fault but the travel company who provided the transport.

Gardens are very well kept.
Maintenance not kept up as loungers green and pool furniture never been cleaned. Now seeing as you have a member of staff sat guarding the rags of towel surely that member of staff would be better put to use and pool drinks service didn’t exist most days.

There is lots of activities to do if you wish but we just wanted to relax. We had a sea view room which for me was a real bonus and defo worth paying extra for. The girls were fantastic although I did get burnt with boiling water to the side of my face by a machine they were using to steam my face. Obviously the machine was faulty and to be fair I’m not sure the girls knew the extent of my burn but it did scab up and turn brown ☹️ If I had to look for a complaint it would be that at the bar the French speaking people all got served first even though I had been standing there before them and sometimes for 5/10 mins at a time. Booked for my 50th birthday and we joined a Facebook group to ask a few... read more questions as it was our first time in Mairitius and this hotel caught our eye.
We paid £140 a night for bed breakfast and evening meal. Someone commented thst it was nice for a budget hotel . We thought £140 a night was rather a lot but we are in Mairitius!!
Anyway, check in was easy and had a lovely welcoming drink but we had to wait for around an hour for our room.
When we got to our room it was on the 3rd floor with no lift. Ordinarily this wouldn’t be an issue but just before flying I had an issue with my sight and balance affected so this caused some issues but none that couldn’t be overcome.
Room was lovely with spectacular views of the ocean. You could actually hear the waves crashing. Room was clean but housekeeping was a little lax with things like complimentary teas not being refilled etc but with a call to receptionist this was rectified immediately.
Breakfast was lovely with a huge choice of food and plenty of it including egg station, bacon, hash browns, 3 types of sausage, different breads, fruits etc.
Dinner, I’m a very fussy eater and I had no issues at all. The only thing I would comment was there wasn’t a lot of potato selection such as fries etc but I managed. Loads of curry choices , rice, rotis and hubby loved every one. Lots of different meat choices also and cooked to perfection. I do like a soup but not fish and there was lots of fish based soup. Also, last night we had food down on the beach and it blew us away. The setting was gorgeous
Pools were great although could do with a few more umbrellas. The little private beach was great and lots of umbrellas.
Staff - wow. So friendly, polite and helpful. Always speaking to you and making sure you were ok and had everything you needed. We don’t have anything to complain about here and would definitely recommend it.

On the last night of the stay,we had to move,because they overbooked your room. Now they give us a box room. Staff is over worked,rarely they smile. This is the treatment for Mauritian guests. Nobody from management will help you,actually they will blame the booking company,or you for their incompetence! Everybody should stay away from this hotel,until they change the whole management and front office staff. In the all inclusive package you will have to pay your cappuccino,espresso,and after 10:30pm,you have to pay any drinks you will take from the bar. And the mini bar,is just a mini empty fridge. STAY AWAY from this 4* hotel,because there is no star there whatsoever. Yet,a big thank you for the cleaning staff,start from their manager!
P.S. No sockets are working all over the hotel!
