Local area - some restaurants but no local shops apart from two and they closed very early.
Prices - very expensive for everything outside the hotel.
Beach wasn’t bad just disappointing. Very small and rest of frontage is black boulders used as sea defences. There’s steps leading to a sea swimming area but they are broken but still can be used with care. Take own snorkel and reef shoes. Please get those steps fixed.

We did two trips. Both were excellent and booked through Facebook from recommendations on the Love Mauritius page. Took boat trip which was fantastic. South Island trip brilliant too.

Weather in mid May was very good. Occasionally depending on wind direction there could be some cloud cover and short, sharp showers but majority of time was perfect. Very warm but not too uncomfortable.

So please fix steps to sea, get coffee machines working. Sort out check in. Otherwise fantastic hotel - keep up the good work. More

There is lots of activities to do if you wish but we just wanted to relax. We had a sea view room which for me was a real bonus and defo worth paying extra for. We had a couples full body massage and facials too at the garden spa on site. The girls were fantastic although I did get burnt with boiling water to the side of my face by a machine they were using to steam my face. Obviously the machine was faulty and to be fair I’m not sure the girls knew the extent of my burn but it did scab up and turn brown ☹️ If I had to look for a complaint it would be that at the bar the French speaking people all got served first even though I had been standing there before them and sometimes for 5/10 mins at a time. I would totally recommend this hotel. More

The biggest issue was with the staff who were very slow and unprofessional. I don't even mind that they were slow but cleanliness was a huge issue. The tables had dirty table cloths, plates and cutlery. We either had to ask someone to replace them or did it ourselves. You had to ask for drinks to be delivered several times before actually getting them. Biggest issue was at breakfast when tables were not cleaned or if they were it happened extremely slowly. One day they ran out of coffee cups at breakfast and I was twice offered a dirty cup (that had been used by someone else) that the employee wiped with a cloth right there in front of me. When I asked for a washed cup, she did it again. I then asked if I can have a cup that someone didn't just drink from, at which point the... Unfortunately, we can't recommend this hotel.

None of them were even close to what they're supposed to be. Also, when asking for dry wine, the bartender kept giving me very sweet ones. They had no idea what they were serving.

So while the room, the view and the pool were nice, I really cannot recommend the hotel. The staff are not professionally trained at all. More
